Menus & Boxed Lunches

We’ve curated a specialty menu just for our passengers as they travel down the rails. All meals are prepared fresh onboard by our chef and kitchen staff and served by a private attendant. We proudly blend southern favorites with fresh and healthy sides to provide a memorable dining experience. Meals are pre-selected at time of booking to ensure all are fully satisfied!

Southern Pork Lunch (GF)

Slow cooked pork loin sliced and layered over garlic red skinned mashed potatoes served with a side of green beans. Drizzled with a southern sweet and savory barbecue glaze.

Roast Beef Dinner

Slow cooked top sirloin sliced and placed upon garlic red skinned mashed potatoes served with a side of green beans. Beef and potatoes covered in red wine gravy.

Vegetarian Salad

Spring mix lined with tomatoes, red onion, cucumbers, egg, and cheddar cheese. Accompanied by ranch & balsamic dressings.

Salad with Chicken

Spring mix lined with tomatoes, red onion, cucumbers, egg, and cheddar cheese topped with sliced grilled chicken. Accompanied by ranch & balsamic dressings.

Pulled Pork BBQ Sandwich

Pulled pork BBQ, baked beans, slaw, and kettle chips served on board.

Vegetarian wrap

Sun dried tomato tortilla slathered in red pepper hummus, filled with a mixture of spring mix, carrot, broccoli, onion, & tomato served with slaw and kettle chips. Baked beans are not vegetarian, but available on request.

Cheesy Ham Hashbrown Casserole

Cheesy Ham and Hashbrown casserole, fruit, and a warm biscuit with jelly or honey.

Vegetarian Bowl

Country style diced potatoes sauteed with onions, peppers, and black beans, covered with fresh scrambled eggs and melted cheese. House made country gravy served on the side. Also includes fruit and a warm biscuit with jelly or honey. V, VEG, GF

Shrimp & Grits

Southern creamy cheese grits topped with skewered shrimp and scallions. Served with warm cinnamon apples and a blueberry muffin.

Vegetarian Bagel Sandwich

Gluten free bagel smothered with a vegan cream cheese, fresh spinach, red onion, and tomato. Served with a seasonal fruit. V, VEG, GF

Pulled Pork Platter

Shredded Pork, BBQ sauce on the side, mashed potatoes, and Cole slaw. Warm cornbread with honey butter on the side.

Boxed Lunches

Save money by planning ahead and dining onboard by pre purchasing one of our boxed lunches! Great food for a great value! You can purchase these lunches during your reservation process, either online or over the phone. Packaged picnic-style, boxed, and ready to enjoy on the train. The boxed lunches are available for pick up with proof of purchase on the depot deck at the Café. If you are riding in the First Class or Premium Open Air on the Nantahala Gorge excursions, you will choose from the previously listed menu options.
