**Program description.** Great Smoky Mountains Railroad operates a text messaging program for its employees and seasonal crew. Messages are sent by individual Great Smoky Mountains Railroad staff from their assigned company phone numbers, and cover work scheduling, crew call times, departure and track changes, equipment and maintenance status, and other day-to-day operational coordination. This is a person-to-person program. We do not send marketing, promotional, or automated bulk messages through it.

**Who receives messages.** Only Great Smoky Mountains Railroad employees and seasonal crew members who have given us a mobile number for work purposes.

**How you opt in.** You provide your mobile number to Human Resources during onboarding or at the start of an operating season, and acknowledge this disclosure as part of the employee handbook. You may also opt in by texting START to a Great Smoky Mountains Railroad number.

**Message frequency.** Message frequency varies and depends on operational needs.

**Cost.** Message and data rates may apply. Great Smoky Mountains Railroad does not charge for these messages; your mobile carrier’s standard rates apply.

**How to opt out.** Reply STOP to any message from a Great Smoky Mountains Railroad number to stop receiving messages from that number. You will receive one confirmation message and then no further messages. Reply START to resume.

**Carriers.** Wireless carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
