Freedom Train (Steam)
Celebrate the 4th of July on the Freedom Train! Join us for a patriotic evening aboard our Freedom Train as we roll through the scenic Smoky Mountains in celebration of Independence Day! This special 7PM departure offers a 2-hour and 15-minute round-trip ride, complete with stunning mountain views and a golden-hour photo stop—please note, there is no layover, and all passengers must remain onboard. Your ticket includes a festive onboard meal, so come hungry and ready for an unforgettable ride. You’ll roll back into town just in time for the fireworks show—talk about a grand finale! Ride the Great Smoky Mountains Railroad in an open air car viewing the Nantahala Gorge, enjoying lunch and then explore the 13 ziplines and 8 sky bridges of our Nantahala Gorge Canopy Tour! Equipment Furnished: Helmet, Harness, Gloves. Minimum Age: 8 years. Weight Requirements: 60 lbs.minimum, 250 lbs. maximum (Guests might be asked to step on a scale). Clothing: Closed Toe Shoes Required. Storage will be provided for personal belongings while you are ziplining. Your party will be shuttled back to the Great Smoky Mountains Railroad parking lot at the end of your adventure. Allow a full day for the train and adventure. Trips go rain or shine.
